In a press release from Rockstar Games, it has been announced that the stated company has created a new development studio in the form of Rockstar New England. This was reached through the acquisition of Mad Doc Software.

Mad Doc Software was the team responsible for the Xbox 360 version of Bully: Scholarship Edition. According to the press release, they’re particularly focused “on artificial intelligence and networking.”

Founder of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser, had this to say about the acquisition:

Bringing them (Mad Doc Software) within the Rockstar Games family will enhance our core technology and further support our commitment to creating progressive and innovative gaming experiences.
