According to Bill Gates, Microsoft is going to roll out the next version of their Windows operating system about a year ahead of schedule. Codenamed Windows 7, the upcoming OS is expected to be launched sometime next year, only two years after the launching of Windows Vista instead of the scheduled three-year interval.
However, Microsoft’s spokesperson stated that it is natural for them to introduce a test version of a new operating system a year ahead of its official launch. Gates happened to mention about the impending arrival of Windows 7 during a corporate philanthropy seminar that took place in Inter-American Development Bank in Miami, where we was asked about Vista’s successor.
Windows 7, formerly known as Vienna, was meant to greatly improve existing features in their current operating systems, such as Live Services. Gates intends to provide a functionality through Live Services where users can still use their own desktop settings whatever PC they’re using, whether its a public personal or someone else’s PC.
